host table

The host table at the TÖR restaurant is made from the root fragment of an oak tree that grew in Kazakhstan. During processing, we aimed to preserve its natural, wild shape as much as possible. The design on the metal tabletop was achieved through heating and oxidation—experimenting with different material thicknesses, oxidation durations, and edge treatments. The tabletop was then finished with a matte lacquer to highlight the texture of both the metal and the wood.
