TEENAGER room

This is the only space in the apartment that the clients decided to renovate when they approached us. The rest of the apartment hadn’t been renovated for 12 years, and when you enter the room, it feels like stepping into an entirely different world.

The client’s request was to create an inspiring space for learning and development for a teenager (at the time the project started, the boy was 10 years old).

We removed the existing partitions between the sleeping and common areas, and the ceiling was raised as much as possible. The space was conditionally divided into three zones: a work area, a bedroom, and a zone with a large amount of built-in lighting with different usage scenarios. We developed built-in furniture, whose main volumes merge with the walls. The existing space had a complex shape with curves that were hard to perceive, so the built-in furniture helped create more understandable and functional contours of the space.
